Our hearts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and throughout the Gulf coast area. We invite our readers to join those all over the world who are praying to know that God's ever-present love is with everyone — comforting, guiding and protecting, at every moment.

At the same time, The Christian Science Board of Directors has established a relief fund to provide needed assistance for ongoing relief efforts in the region. And, as the depth of the need becomes more apparent, we will find additional ways to respond.

If you would like to send a check, please make it payable to: The First Church of Christ, Scientist. In the memo line, please write "Hurricane Katrina Fund." If you wish to restrict your gift for only humanitarian assistance (food, shelter, clothing), you may do so by adding "humanitarian only" to the memo line as well.
