Committee on Publication
SUMMARY
This position assists the Media Division Manager in all activities relating to the Media Division work.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
1. Under the guidance of the Media Division Manager, assist in all facets of media activities. (40%)
· Collaborates with the Media Manager in assessing reviewing and guiding Committees with regard to their goals with media work in their jurisdiction.
· Keeps the vision of the Manager of the Committees on Publication at the forefront of projects, communications and activities.
· Provides help to Committees to move their work forward and resolve issues that would impede their work.
· assists in writing and maintaining press releases as assigned
· Assists in writing and editing corrective responses in a Christian manner for print and Internet media
· Assists in repurposing articles from Sentinel, Journal, and The Monitor religious article for use by jurisdictional Committees
· Assists in maintaining and expanding contacts with local media
· Assists in tracking and reporting on all national media activity
· Coordinates reviewing and editing of documents used by Committees.
· Reviews training and workshop, agendas and materials to be consistent with the Manager’s vision.
3. Assists Media Manager in supervision of regular Media staff and temporary help, who motivate, train, and support Committees worldwide. (30%)
· Understands and communicates the vital role the CS practice plays in the work of the Committees modeling and fostering this approach in their own work.
· Works closely with Media Manager to help staff regularly follow-up with Committees in maintaining rapport with jurisdictional Committees on media activities.
· Assists with the management of communications between Committees and the field with the Media staff.

With all Committee Staff, Committees world wide, as well as managers and staff throughout the organization.
Education/Experience: A college degree or its equivalent. Three to five years of successful experience in leading teams and complex projects. Three to five years experience in communication with the public through strong verbal and written skills.
