Tad Blake-Weber (Waltham, MA)

“To put it simply, the Reading Room helped me see how loving the community is vital to Christianity. I feel my work there was and is the opportunity to do what Jesus commanded — "wash your neighbor's feet" and "preach the Gospel to every creature.”  I also feel my Reading Room work was (and continues to be) a most wonderful, humbling, exciting, energizing, and rewarding prayer-filled opportunity to love my community more by sharing God's word with others.”

Michele Newport (Boston, MA)

In the short time I've worked in the RR, I've seen ample proof of Mrs. Eddy's statement, "Millions of unprejudiced minds -- simple seekers for Truth, weary wanderers, athirst in the desert -- are waiting and watching for rest and drink."  (S&H, pg 570)  No, millions haven't come through the door, but enough stop in every day as evidence that there is a world crying out for healing.  And I'm seeing regeneration and restoration on a daily basis.  The one-on-one contact with those seeking rest and drink has humbled me, awakened me, and reinforced for me the holy purpose of the RR.  It's not just a bookstore, it's an active part of the 'living, palpitating presence of Christ, Truth" (S&H, pg 351) in our community.  I'm grateful to be here”.
