February 14, 2008
Dear Fellow Members:
We're writing to give you an update on the move of the Boston offices of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and The Christian Science Publishing Society to the Christian Science Publishing House building.
What's New
Effective May 1, 2008, the street address for all departments currently located at 175 Huntington Avenue and One Norway Street will change to 210 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. All correspondence and parcels should be sent to this address.
As you may remember reading in our periodicals or on the Church website, the move includes consolidating staff from three buildings into the recently renovated Publishing House. This address change is a practical step since the portion of Norway Street in front of the Publishing House was closed nearly 40 years ago during the construction of the Plaza and is no longer found on Internet mapping systems and most printed maps. The new address will be less confusing and provide a more accurate location for delivery services, taxis, and others needing to locate our offices in the Publishing House.
What Remains the Same
The Mary Baker Eddy Library will retain its entrance, Hall of Ideas, Mapparium, and exhibits at 200 Massachusetts Avenue.
Post Office Box addresses for subscription payments and per capita tax will not change.
What's to Come
Plans for the eventual use of the 26-story Administration building and the Colonnade building are still in the early discussion stages. The Church will continue to own and retain control of the entire 14-acre site.
We welcome your visit to our new offices when you are in the Boston area. Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact Customer Service at service@csps.com or at 617-450-2000.
